by Hawke last modified 2007-01-07 20:39

This Sunday, January 7th, 2007, from 6-7 pm Pacific Time, I will be covering a preview and analysis of the upcoming Microsoft Windows Vista. Whether you are a Windows user, Mac user, or Open Source software user (in other words, if you use a computer), you will NOT want to miss out on this important show.

This show will initially have the usual headlines about technology around the world. But then the rest of the show will be focused on educating the public about the new Microsoft Windows Vista, the latest version of Windows, coming out in a little over 3 weeks from now.

I will give some various highlights, and then go into considerable detail based on a detailed analysis of Vista's Content Protection / Digital Rights Management integration, and the costs associated with that approach, as detailed in the thorough analysis by Professor Peter Gutmann.

You can read the entire 25 page text document at: http://www.cs.auckland.ac.nz/~pgut001/pubs/vista_cost.txt.

You can read about the Professor's ample qualifications at: http://www.cs.auckland.ac.nz/~pgut001/.

I will also be posting a summary from that document, condensing to some of the main points, the key areas of interest to all computer users world-wide. This will be kept to only a few pages at most, for those who are not up to wading through the 25 page document.

You will be able to view the summary page here: Windows Vista Costs Analysis Summary.
